Before Raw Fitness we had tried many times to lose weight but always ended up where we started or higher. We would get frustrated trying to over-exercise or over-diet and then give up with minimal results. We always wanted to find a “quick fix” for our weight loss and then resume with our fun eating and drinking habits.

RAW helped us understand that doing “short term” fixes was not the way to achieve our goals. From the start, we committed to doing personal training sessions. Having a personal trainer makes us feel more accountable as it isn’t just ourselves we would be letting down, but also our trainer.

We were able to shift our mind-set from short term wins to long term habit changes. We also let ourselves seek and receive help. Previously, we did not seek assistance from anyone to help us achieve our goals. We now realize we cannot do it alone and the RAW community helps us have a forum for keeping aligned with healthy goals. The physical changes were weight loss and muscle gain. After 8 months we now have the strength and fitness level that allows us to do things we were never able to in our adult years (or even teenage years).

While we began this journey as a couple, we are now seeing how our achievements have positively impacted others as well. Our daughter joined RAW several months after we did and has already had tremendous success. Being together as a family with a focus on health has made us happier, more active, and able to do so much more than we could have imagined.
